Southeastern Animal Fiber Festival

But when I finally fought myself free I saw this.

It was amazing. There were spinners and roving.
And customers trying out new Spinning Wheels.
Bags of raw fleece.
and Tables of dyed fleece.
Boat loads of yarn
And Orbs of Fluff.
Oil painted Sheep "Sheep Incognito" painted by Connie Tögel.
Silk Roving

(More bunnies)

Walls and walls and walls of hand painted yarn

And rolls of batted roving.

There were Knitted Alpaca throws
and Mini Alpacas
and Felted Alpaca toys
Kids (SEVEN kids in here family!) hawking bunnies

Beautiful Wet Felted Flowers

And Gorgeous Mitered Squares Jackets

Knitted Granny Square Wraps,

Amazing Knitted Sweaters

and Entralock Berets.

So what followed me home? This….
Roving from Ravelry’s own Knit Witch, a 5 pack of Gale’s Art Roving, Donna's Organic Shea Butter Hand treatment, Miss Babb's Sock yarn for the Troubador Socks in my Ravelry queue and a Miss Austen, crocheted circular love knot shawl pattern, designed by Elizabeth Nicole foe the Unique Sheep.Saturday, October 25, 2008

I got an Award!
Although I've only been blogging for a very short time, it has really opened up a whole other world for me, as I'm sure it has for a lot of people. It helps keep us in touch with friends and family. It helps build a whole new community where we can meet new friends and network our interests and expand our knowledge and visions of what we can accomplish or want to try. And it's nice to have a place where I can just express myself about anything and everything. Or just vent. Now I need to pass this award on to eight other blogs that are deserving of this award. But first a HUGE shout out to the woman that peaked my interest in blogging and started this whole crazy ball of yarn unraveling; Thank you Holly! You can visit her over at Knit with Snot for You.
So now I'm passing it on to these 8 great bloggers and each of these recipients should extend the friendship by passing it on to eight others. And now the next winners are;
Twenty Four at Heart
A bit Squirrelly
Barking Mad
Sometimes Sophia
Derfwad Manor
It's like I'm ...Magic
pj momma
Knit Witch
Pass on the LOVE Girls. Passon the LOVE!

It's Official!

My friend Holly was the first person to comment on my blog.
Holly lives in the mitten.

She married an Ogre and birthed 3 Pigs.
(Seriously! Look how TALL he is!)
She knits , she crochets and
she spins.
She recycles and she fights the Man.
She’s a Tie-Dye wearing ,
cake eating ,

two fisted drinker.
She stalks knows Famous People.
She’s practically a one person sales force for Briar Rose Fibers.
The most awesome hand dyed yarn you'll ever fondle!
But most importantly she’s a Zombie Slaying, Charity Knitter.
She knits for the Cancer & Kidneys.
She’s got them standing in
line to join her team
of Zombie Prom Date Knitters.
And now it’s official. I've got all the official gear; bags, buttons and t-shirts....
I am proud to announce that Fat Cat Crochet has joined forces with the Zombie Prom Date Knitters!
Thanks Holly for being the coolest and most awesome!
And for letting me crash join your Team.
